The performance of the integrated graphics is barely enough to ensure that the frame counter does not fall below 40 in cities. When leaving the city, we have a stable 50-55 FPS.

Released on PC in 2015, GTA was not an easy test for computers of that time, but now you can get a stable 60-70 FPS on medium graphics settings, even on a video card built into the processor. There is no hint of delays and friezes, the picture is absolutely smooth.
















Red Dead Redemption 2 is famous for its serious requirements for the video card, what can we say about the built-in video card. However, even she is able to show a stable 30-35 FPS at Full HD resolution. If you want more, only reducing the screen resolution to 1280 * 720 will help, in this case there will be a stable 60 FPS with medium graphics quality settings.

In a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter with minimal graphics quality settings and a FullHD screen resolution, performance is barely enough for a comfortable 60 FPS. If we reduce the screen scale to 80%, we get a stable 55-60 FPS.

As such, the performance in the game is more than good, but there are occasional freezes that are most likely caused by the low bandwidth of the DDR4 memory. Similar friezes are observed both in the benchmark and in the game itself. Of course, you can play, but the pleasure is quite controversial.

The recently released PC exclusive for consoles can not boast of good optimization. At the same time, when using low graphics quality settings, you can get 35-45 FPS, depending on the complexity of the scene. As such, there are no performance issues in the game. But when using 4 GB of video memory, there are periodic peaks on the frame time graph; when 8 GB of RAM is allocated for the video card, they disappear. Despite the low FPS in the game, it does not affect the smoothness of the gameplay at all. If you lower the screen resolution to 720p, you can get a stable 60 frames at medium graphics quality settings.

AMD’s new APU 4000 series APUs are capable of delivering stable 40-60 FPS in recent gaming projects at Full HD screen resolution. In games 2-3 years old, they are able to show significantly better performance at medium or even high graphics quality settings.

Only one of the games tested had problems with the smoothness of the gameplay. The reason for this is the low bandwidth of DDR4 RAM even at 4266 MHz compared to GDDR5 and GDDR6 memory, which is widely used in modern desktop video cards.

It’s safe to say that this generation of hybrid processors is capable of providing an acceptable level of performance in almost all gaming projects. It is perfect for undemanding gamers or as a temporary solution until a discrete graphics card is available.
