According to the International News Agency, the meeting between the leaders of North and South Korea has been going on since April this year, but the date and place have not been announced.
Very little information has been provided about the meeting between the two rivals, but according to information obtained by two sources from the international news agency Reuters, this meeting is also possible through a video link.
On the other hand, high-ranking officials of the two countries have agreed to rebuild a “joint liaison office” on the border. The office, set up in 2018, was blown up by North Korea last year.
North Korea and South Korea had a ceasefire in the 1950s after Korea split into two, but in one way or another, they are still at war.
It should be noted that the first historic meeting between the two rivals in US mediation took place in April 2018, after which Kim Jong Un also had meetings with the US President. However, these efforts did not prove fruitful and in 2020, North Korea The office was blown up.
