Rawalpindi: Members of Assembly have been held responsible for the defeat of PTI in Cantonment Board Rawalpindi.
The district organization of Rawalpindi reacted strongly to the defeat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Cantonment Board Rawalpindi and Chaklala, blaming top officials and members of the National and Provincial Assembly for the defeat. He has been asked to resign.
The district organization has also passed a resolution to boycott those responsible for the defeat until its concerns are addressed in the resolution. PTI Rawalpindi District Convention has also been announced to be held in the next fortnight.
A copy of the meeting chaired by District President, former MPA Shehar Yar Riaz, whose decision and resolution have been signed by all the officials of the district organization and members of the governing body, was signed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Chief It has also been sent to organizer Saifullah Niazi.

The resolution passed said that the district organization PTI was completely ignored in the decisions to issue party tickets in the cantonment board elections, the election campaign and the meeting to invite federal ministers. The resolution said that a district convention would be held in the next fortnight to take responsibility for the results of the cantonment elections and the future course of action.
The meeting demanded that the abuse of power by the members of the National and Provincial Assemblies on party affairs be stopped. In this regard, the party constitution should be followed. In the recent cantonment elections, the organizational officials and members of the National and Provincial Assemblies responsible for ignoring the party workers and defeating them should be asked to resign as such persons have committed the rights of the workers and damaged the party image.
The resolution passed said that the district organization should maintain a complete boycott of all matters and those responsible for the defeat until the concerns of the PTI district organization are addressed at the highest level and clear instructions are issued in this regard.
