Mumbai: Even before the release of actor Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Prithvi Raj’, riots started in India.
According to Indian media reports, India’s Hindu extremist party Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha has started protests in Chandigarh against Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Prothvi Raj’. Protesters chanted slogans against actor Akshay Kumar and the film director and burnt their effigies.
The extremist group has expressed reservations about the name of the film and demanded that it be changed before it is released.
Central leaders of the party say that the name of the film based on history should be ‘Hindu Samrat Prithvi Raj Chauhan’ instead of ‘Prithvi Raj’, naming only ‘Prithvi Raj’ is an insult to the brave ruler of Hindus.
The leaders also demanded that the film be shown to us before its release so that the date given in the film could be reviewed.
Prithviraj Chauhan has been the ruler of the Hindus whose heroic deeds are known all over India. Hindus have a deep sense of respect for Prithviraj Chauhan.
