Rawalpindi: The New Zealand cricket team has arrived in Rawalpindi after 18 years for a tour of Pakistan. The Kiwi team arrived in Islamabad on a charter flight from Dhaka.
According to media reports, the last time the Kiwis visited Pakistan was in 2003, when they scored the most hits in a five-match ODI series with Yasir Hameed (356) and Mohammad Sami. There were also 8 tosses for wickets.
Since then, the Pakistan Cricket Board has hosted New Zealand on three occasions, but all three series have been played in the United Arab Emirates. This was the first time the Pakistan Cricket Team played a home series in the UAE.
Punjab Minister for Local Government Abdul Aleem Khan resigns
The New Zealand cricket team is now coming to Pakistan to play a series of three ODIs and five T20 internationals.
The three ODI matches between the two teams will be played on September 17, 19 and 21 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi while the five T20 internationals will begin on September 25 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
